Senate confirms Lew as Treasury secretary, 71-26 Feb 27th 2013, 23:14 Published February 27, 2013 FoxNews.com The Senate on Wednesday confirmed Jack Lew as Treasury secretary by a 71-26 vote. Lew will replace Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner. The former Obama chief of staff was confirmed following a hearing that raised concerns about his time as a Citigroup executive, including an overseas investment in an employee fund. The 57-year-old Lew told members of the Senate Finance Committee that he divested from the employee fund in 2010 and paid all the taxes.
