Former President George W. Bush backs Romney May 15th 2012, 16:55 Former President George W. Bush said Tuesday he is supporting Republican Mitt Romney's run for the White House.  "I'm for Mitt Romney," Bush told ABC News after he delivered a speech on human rights in Washington, D.C.  In March, Romney received the backing of former President George H.W. Bush, who held a joint press conference with the former Massachusetts governor at his Houston office.  But when a reporter asked Romney if he had met with the 43rd president while he was in Texas, Romney replied, "I haven't met with President George W. Bush, we speak from time to time."  After the press conference, the elder Bush could be heard asking Romney if his son had endorsed him.  "No," Romney replied.  Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush also endorsed Romney in March.
