Daily Caller reporter barred from CAIR press conference Sep 13th 2012, 13:05 The Council on American-Islamic Relations reportedly barred a reporter for the Daily Caller from a press conference Wednesday on the murder of U.S. diplomats in Libya.  The Daily Caller, which published an account of the CAIR incident, said the reporter tried to attend the Muslim advocacy group's noon press conference on Capitol Hill. But when he gave his credentials to a CAIR spokesman, he was told The Daily Caller -- an online news site -- is a "hate group," not a news outlet.  "You cannot come in," the reporter was told.  CAIR assembled the press conference in order to condemn the killings of U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three other American officials. They died in the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi Tuesday night.  CAIR was also calling on Muslims to disregard the anti-Islam film that has been cited as a potential spark for protests in both Cairo and Benghazi -- though some have called that explanation into question. The Daily Caller reported that, while it was labeled a "propagandist" by the group, its last report citing CAIR merely quoted the group saying the Obama campaign should be "inclusive." That story was about how the campaign was not selling "Muslim Americans for Obama" merchandise, even as it sold merchandise targeted at other ethnic groups.
