President Obama's re-election team raised $126 million in September, compared to rough $78 million for Mitt Romney's campaign, according to federal filings releases Saturday.
The filings also show Obama spent almost twice as much as the Republican challenger -- $115.6 million compared with $65 million for Romney.
The Federal Election Commission reports also show Obama has roughly $99 million cash on hand and Romney has $63.1 million going into the final weeks of the campaign.
Obama in September had the best fundraising month of the election cycle.
Romney on Saturday night will hold his final fundraiser of his campaign.
A Team Romney spokesman said the event will be will be held at two private residences. The first stop will be at the home of Dwight and Martha Schar. The second stop will be at the home of Wilbur and Hilary Ross.
