Boehner calls for briefing on ObamaCare after HHS 'snub' Oct 22nd 2013, 22:54 Published October 22, 2013 FoxNews.com Oct. 10, 2013: House Speaker John Boehner, joined by fellow Republicans, speaks during a news conference on Capitol Hill in Washington.AP The office of House Speaker John Boehner is calling for the Obama administration to brief House Republicans on the problems with the ObamaCare website, following a report that House Democrats will get a closed-door briefing on Wednesday. Boehner spokesman Brendan Buck said in a statement to Fox News the speaker's office has requested the meeting with the president but has not yet received a reply, saying "all members – as well as the American people – deserve answers for this debacle." "This snub is all the more offensive after Secretary Sebelius declined to testify at a House hearing this week," Buck said. "It's time for the Obama administration to honor its promises of transparency and face some accountability." The Washington Post reported Tuesday that a senior official from the Department of Health and Human Services will meet with the Democrats in the first time an Obama administration official has briefed members of Congress since the website's rocky launch on Oct. 1. House Democrats requested to be briefed on the law's implementation. The office of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi responded to the Boehner's request for a briefing Tuesday night, saying the Wednesday meeting is "yet another in this series of discussions" House Democrats have held on ObamaCare.  "While we appreciate House Republicans' newfound interest in the implementation of health reform, it is clear they are not interested in anything other than continuing their desperate drive to sabotage this law, which so far has included shutting down the government," a spokesman for Pelosi said in a statement.
