DENVER –  Election Day in Colorado will see questions about marijuana, fracking, and taxes at municipalities across the state.

The Colorado Municipal League says 76 cities and towns have elections Tuesday. They include questions in seven municipalities to borrow money for street and park improvements. Proposed property tax increases are also being decided in seven municipalities for things like fire protection and early childhood education.

Eagle and Englewood will decide whether to allow marijuana retail stores, while 12 places decide how to tax pot sales.

Boulder, Broomfield, Fort Collins, and Lafayette are deciding whether to pass restrictions on fracking or oil and gas development.

Telluride has an election on whether to tax sweetened drinks.

CML Executive Director Sam Mamet says the elections indicate municipalities continue to need help with infrastructure and other local public services.
