Politicians, operatives, White House officials, members of Congress—along with some snark artists—are debating, attacking, defending and kibitzing around the clock on Twitter. It's a nonstop forum that is helping shape the political conversation.  In this daily feature, @laurenashburn picks some of the best – and worst – political tweets you may have missed.

No surprise that the conservative Drudge is bummed about Democrats winning yesterday in Virginia and New York City. But striking that Matt is also not a fan of Christie's more centrist brand of conservatism.

Matt Drudge @DRUDGE

"McAuliffe, De Blasio and Christie: Triple feature in a Republican's nightmare. Hug a conservative today."

How could Obama ever win Trump's respect? Show his Kenyan birth certificate? Make him his Secretary of Commerce? Nope. He just wants an apology.

Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump

"I would gain a whole new respect for President Obama if he would say, "look, we made a big mistake, sorry!" No more lies or deception"

Good luck with that. P.S. Donald: How frustrated you must be in this video that you can't just fire him!

In other Christie news, a network exit poll in New Jersey found that Hillary Clinton would have a slight edge over the governor in a 2016 presidential matchup. Not so fast, says David Axelrod, Obama's former campaign manager. He's not sure Christie will even make a splash in the primaries.

David Axelrod @davidaxelrod

"Ever see a large man shot from a canon? Watch Jersey launch tonight, of @GovChristie boomlet. But will he have place to land in this GOP?"

With Drudge's disapproval, he may be right.

It's hard not to watch the train wreck that is Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's admission – after six months of denial – that yes, he did what a video reportedly showed him doing.

He doesn't remember smoking crack cocaine because he was "probably in one of my drunken stupors." Sounds to me he has a job security problem. Not so fast.

Ford says he has no intention of stepping down and plans to run for reelection. In an emotional press conference Tuesday, Ford apologized. "With today's announcement, I know I embarrassed everyone in the city and I will be forever sorry."

Talk about a made-for-tv movie.

Glance at any picture of Ford, and it's clear why New York Daily News opinion editor Josh Greenman is so bummed.

Josh Greenman ‏@joshgreenman

"DEAR GOD WHY DID YOU TAKE CHRIS FARLEY FROM US BEFORE HE COULD IMPERSONATE ROB FORD IT'S JUST NOT FAIR"

Yep, Farley would've had a field day with that.
